Counting down...
Apr. 27th, 2017 11:52 pmSaturday morning is D's state solo competition event, so today was the last rehearsal with the accompanist. I'm so excited!
Afterwards, I went to the library and then to a university concert. I knew I'd know the conductor, but I was surprised to recognize two of the musicians (since I hadn't thought about how they'd been in the youth symphony last year and gone on to the university with full scholarships). I also recognized a couple of people in the audience. Anyway! There was a performance of Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No.2, which was very interesting to listen to, and then Tchaikovski's Fifth Symphony, which I hadn't realized I was already familiar with.
