Today D. got his SAT scores - 20 points higher than mine were, and entirely satisfactory, so he doesn't need to take it again.
He played his Weber Concertino so beautifully in his lesson today that the teacher was quite surprised. She said he'd advanced "two or three levels" in one week. She asked him what had made the difference? "Reading The Great Gatsby." (!?!) Apparently he really liked it and found it moving, and somehow applicable to the story in this concerto. I'd forgotten much of the plot so he told me the whole thing on our drive home.
Tomorrow we get to do his allergy testing.
