I can see why they call it "health work"

Meanwhile, I've been worn out for days. the doctor suspects that if D's problems aren't caused by a normal respiratory virus run awry, or by mono, then it could be CMV, which most people ignore when they get because it's usually so trivial, but which can also cause fatigue and a sore throat. So that could be me. I'm glad I'm just worn out and not actually sick-sick, though.
- Making an appointment with his regular doctor
- Calling the urgent care clinic to ask for the results of his second strep test
- Calling a different clinic to track down the woman who makes all the calls about the lab test results, as she was the one with the information we needed
- Compiling a list of information and a list of questions for the doctor
- Taking D. to the doctor, doing all the paperwork, explaining everything he didn't think to tell the assistant, repeating it all with the doctor, and asking all my compiled questions
- Going to the neighborhood pharmacy to get his new prescription
- Calling the doctor's office to make sure they'd sent it to the correct pharmacy, when the pharmacy couldn't find a record of it
- Waiting in line again while the pharmacy found the record
- Returning to the pharmacy when it was finally ready, then setting up a schedule for making sure D. gets all the doses at the right times...
