I just had a massive-looking request from G, and I ought to start writing three new papers. This fall could become hectic if I let it.
Today D. started 11th grade (junior year of high school). He's annoyed that he was put in an IHS section with "all the worst people"... "except for Ellen." He's hoping to abandon Ellen and transfer into the other morning section, but his school isn't terribly sympathetic to requests like that. Meanwhile, his new econ teacher wants each of the students to interview a grandparent about prices and such during their lifetime, an assignment that is surely difficult for many students. He's hoping to get permission to interview his dad instead, since his dad is just a few years shy of 65, the age they're looking for. He does have three living grandparents, but I don't think any of them would be able to help.
