The secret to today

I stayed inside. I worked on my proposal until it was time to shop for dinner, and only then did I venture out into the heat. After dinner, it was nice enough outside that I read in J's garden with him. I didn't get into my car until dusk, and I didn't go on a walk until it was quite dark. This was a great plan!

D. is up late working on his term paper in math, a paper where he has to explore probabilities. It's an IB requirement. He's doing his paper on various mana issues in Magic: The Gathering, and the cool thing is that now that he's deep into the paper, he's really excited about it. It has practical applications, and he's getting arcane insights!
