Hedgehog mushrooms and Chekhov's... weekend getaway

Observations from a Monday:

• Hedgehog mushrooms really do taste a lot like chanterelles. Tonight's risotto was delicious!
  
• Wedding Planner Mystery, a Hallmark movie, was, shall we say, less stellar than some of the other Hallmark mysteries. In this one, once the heroine realized that the handsome lawyer was the villain, of course she still had to go on their planned weekend at Mt. Rainier, because as she put it, how else would she get him to tell her where he'd stashed the kidnapped bride?
  
• Our public library doesn't have Trish Maguire #6, though it has the other eight books in the series. Maybe it got lost or destroyed and they decided not to replace it? So I have to buy it and wait a week.
  
• Lots of viruses are going around, and the oboes didn't show up for tonight's Junior Orchestra rehearsal. D. got to sight-read the oboe part in front of 50+ people but did fine, he says.
  
• Sorin is ecstatically kneading my bathrobe while we listen to folk music on the PBS pledge drive.
