Intense week! TGIF!

What a crazy week this has been. We had concerts on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday nights. D. had minor toe surgery on Wednesday and has to do all this soaking and wrapping stuff every day. I’ve been buying gifts. J. is having a big eight-hour birthday party tomorrow (Saturday) with his Magic-playing friends and his co-workers, and I have been shopping and preparing food and cleaning and getting pictures framed and all that. Good grief! I think on Sunday I will collapse.

Today, specifically, I bought a bunch of food at two supermarkets, including two cakes. I went to the framing shop and got one of his two pictures, then went back a couple of hours later for the other. I did a bunch of cleaning in his house and put together a bed for his houseguest Colin. I got D. to his concert, then waited in the lobby for half an hour before we could sit in the comfortable seats, then sat through two other bands before we could hear his regular high school band and his new fancy high school jazz band. We did the foot-soaking routine twice. J. and I went back to Safeway so he could make brownies. I believe I did some work too...
