Missing my winter hat

Tonight was my first after-dark walk in what feels like winter. I was only out there for maybe 25 minutes, but I sorely missed the winter hat I lost two years ago. I felt so cold (the temperature was 36̊F), and I should probably wash the wood smoke out of my hair before bedtime.

The sky was cloudy, but most of the clouds were in a rippling pattern that left gaps through which one can see the half-full moon and the brighter stars: Vega, Capella, Altair.
