Today the cable guy came, and promptly, too. It turns out they had indeed sabotaged my old cable box by starting their upgrades early, so the answer was to switch to the new one (which is now in place and works fine). The cool thing is that he left the old one hooked up too, so I can keep using it for a while; I have 30 days to return it. (I don’t know why they’d want it back, though, since it’s obsolete.)

So today, since I wasn’t feeling well again, I mostly just enjoyed the functionality of the television. I could find out other things that were on, besides the ones I already knew about! I watched the first half of the 1999 version of The Mummy. Then we finally got to use the on-demand function again (after nearly two weeks without it) and watched two Fairy Tail episodes – only two to go before we get to the end of their first production of them (at episode 176). Thankfully, they eventually got the go-ahead to start making more – they had had to stop in the middle of an arc.
