Work, work

Today was less focused than I was hoping for. Our data analyst quit because the “soft” money situation and low FTE couldn’t compete with a full-time job at the university. We knew he was looking for a job, and I’d even put a bunch of energy into creating a pilot study to keep him funded a bit longer, but he hadn’t put much time into it yet and now I have to find someone else to do that work. Meanwhile, it’s grant proposal time yet again, plus I’m trying to wrap up a manuscript where what we did was so ground-breaking that we don’t know if our outcome is good or bad. Publishable? Who knows?
