Back to school

Today was registration day at the high school. My friend C. picked up D. on their way to the school, bless her, because our sons were both in the 8 a.m. registration group. Afterwards, D. spent something like eight hours hanging out with his friends. His schedule is going to be such a challenge this year, as he’s going to have to leave the house by 6:35 a.m. to catch the bus for zero-period band class. Have I mentioned this again and again here? I’ve certainly mentioned it again and again everywhere else. I keep reminding myself – only three more years of disrupted sleep! Tomorrow, at least, he won’t have to leave until 8:45 a.m. because Wednesdays are late start days with no zero period classes.
