Dearly hoping against deja vu
Aug. 7th, 2015 11:59 pmAjani’s digestion is a bit delicate. He prefers the canned salmon foods I give him twice a day, and he supplements with the dry food Sorin prefers, and sometimes he has digestive issues or loses his appetite a bit. Based on the vet’s advice, we’ve looked for correlations with the types and batches of food, but I suspect that sometimes he just catches and eats a bug, which then doesn’t agree with him. But last night he abruptly vomited up a whole bunch of the dry food, which he’s never done before, and then he curled up between us on the couch… and was still in that spot about 14 hours later, looking very poorly. Later he did get a few bites of dry food and then curled up in the Winnie the Pooh chair, and then around 4:35 p.m. he announced that he was finally hungry again and interested in the canned food, and he started being more active and closer to normal.
I do hope it was just another upset. I spent most of the day worried that if I took him to the vet, I’d find out that he had intestinal lymphoma like Lillian. Poor Lillian. Poor Ajani, and he’s maybe a month shy of two, much too young to get sick like that. Fret, fret, fret. I hope he’s okay now.
