In which I do good deeds in the name of music

It's "concert week" for the Eugene-Springfield Youth Orchestras. Last night was the top group's performance, but I went to book club. Tomorrow is the second group, which D. is in, the junior orchestra. Tonight was the other two, Little Symphony and String Academy. I ended up volunteering to help with tonight's performance, which ended up being three hours on my feet. First I rang up credit card purchases of tickets, using an iPad. Then I helped with the reception, which involved making up little cups of pretzels, arranging cookies on a tray, slicing sheet cake, and then pouring dozens and dozens of cups of punch. And eventually, clean up. Now I just want to vegetate.
