Mother’s Day (yesterday)

D. gave me a white-and-black pair of ceramic cats that are also salt-and-pepper shakers, and that join together with little magnets. Our kitties! We went to the woods by the neighborhood school to look at the wildflowers, and even that bit of exertion felt like a lot to me, so today I went hardly anywhere except by car. Later, J. picked up some Italian food for us, as I had a craving for chicken piccata, and I introduced them to Legend, which D. thought was cheesy, and which J. thought was just fine for its time. This was the director’s cut, so it had a different opening scene, and the closing credits didn’t have the Bryan Ferry song, but it was on the DVD elsewhere. (Now I want D. to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show, for more of Tim Curry being over the top!)
