Our brains are kind of flooded from our viewing of Jesus Christ Superstar after Easter dinner. D. thought it was way too much and too long. I tend to concur, but I'm glad to have seen it. J, whose idea it was for us to watch it, thought in retrospect we should have split it over two evenings, but I doubt we'd have convinced D. to sit down for the second half, at that point.

Anyway, other than that, we had fun doing Easter egg hunts at J's house. The very wet thunderstorm we were experiencing at 2:45 p.m. had ended by 3:30 p.m., leaving enough time to hide 20 plastic eggs in J's yard before D's return at 4 p.m., and the 16 dyed eggs all found good hiding spots in J's house. Then we had roast chicken, potatoes, and carrots for dinner.

Added. Right, sorry, now that I'm more recovered from the movie I can add the interesting bits. The Easter Bunny brought me some stuff! And the stuff is: an Easter lily (staying at J's to protect the cats), a really cute little brown teddy bear (the brother of the tangerine-colored one I got last year, I'm told), and my own personal Easter egg hunt in the form of four Magic lands (two forests, two plains) decorated with bits of our metallic-colored egg paint. The other interesting bit, or at least an amusing bit, is that after handily defeating J. in their "competition" to find the eggs hidden outside, D. had a much harder time spotting the ones indoors. I saw six of them before he found any. We joked how funny it would have been if we hadn't actually hidden any and had just been trolling him. Anyway, the Easter Bunny used camouflage very well for the indoor eggs.
