Spring break: Wednesday
Mar. 25th, 2015 11:58 pmI suppose I’ll keep this posting format all week.
- Today I woke early but tired, and although I’d had ambitious goals (major progress on a cost-effectiveness analysis for eating disorder prevention, as well as doing my taxes), I found myself in a state of brain fog. I was able to make some plodding progress, but it was hard to keep track of what I was doing. Z. came by and looked at our project’s booklet.
- I watched an early episode of The Saint with lunch and wondered why Roger Moore’s voice seemed higher then than when was James Bond.
- I took a nap, hoping to clear my head, then woke even more spacy and loopy than before, which at least was good for giggles with J.
- I realized that my daily pollen count e-mail had, in fact, pointed out that today was the first day for my main pollen nemesis, the Oregon ash, and had a “duh” moment. By the way, looking up “histamine brain fog” on Google produces a fascinating collection of pseudoscience – it appears that food-based histamines are credited with considerable malaise, much in the way that candida was back in the ‘80s. I wanted to give it a critical looking over, to see what might be valid there, but didn’t have the time.
- I made a bit more progress on the cost analysis.
- Then I went on a surprisingly energetic walk, admiring both Venus and Jupiter in the clear skies as I went south on Donald Street, the route I used to go with Chong before she returned to Korea. I tripped once but managed not to fall.
- I’m glad D. still lets me read to him at bedtime. We’re on the fifth of the Dragaera books; tonight Vlad met Zerika.
- J. and I watched two anime episodes, then I watched Perry.
