Zelda Monopoly
Mar. 1st, 2015 09:49 pmFor Valentine's Day (since ThinkGeek messed up my order so we couldn't get it in time for Christmas), I gave D. the Legend of Zelda Monopoly game, and tonight we played it for the first time. J. got the first monopoly, the orange properties, and D. had very bad luck, repeatedly landing on the spaces that cost him the 200 rupees he got for passing Go, then going bankrupt on one of J's oranges. I had had one of the two top-end properties, Hyrule Palace, for quite a while, raking in 35 rupees every time someone landed on it, and I refused to concede... then an Empty Bottle card sent me to the Temple of Time for my own, very exclusive monopoly. But then I landed on one of J's developed properties and had to mortgage nearly everything and sell two of my three Deku Sprouts (aka houses) back to the bank. Although J. actually did land on + my Hyrule Palace + one Deku Sprout after that, I then ended up on the same orange property that had been the end of D, and J. was the victor.
