I’m proud of D. He plays all of these games where you temporarily “kill” your opponent, like League of Legends and Super Smash Bros, and he’s become entirely proficient in referring to these as “vanquishes” and “vanquishing” whenever I’m within hearing range, because that’s the word I’d rather hear. He doesn’t even seem to mind.
