Christmas and Wizards
Dec. 25th, 2014 11:38 pmChristmas today: stockings, setting up D’s Wii U and watching him play some Super Smash Bros., making pot roast for dinner, hosting my sister K. and her husband S. after our respective dinners, and then eventually having R. and B. join us. D. played several Henry Mancini pieces on his clarinet while everyone was here. I’ve been reading my Pride and Prejudice manga. J. is working his way through the tutorial of Endless Legend.
My sister gave us a VHS tape of Ralph Bakshi’s Wizards. I remember watching that several times in college – the various larger lecture halls would host films from time to time, and at least once I saw it in a theater. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed awake through the whole thing, but I did have a habit of waking up right before Avatar gets in the deciding blow.
