Salt hangover
Sep. 14th, 2014 01:43 pmThat’s what it is, right, with the dehydration and all? Last night I made the mistake of finishing off the open bag of tortilla chips. I drank a bunch of water, but not an unusual amount, and today my head huuurts. I slept for 7 hours, woke and drank a cup of water, finished reading the second almost-Falco novel, ate a piece of cheese, drank a second cup of water, and went back to bed for another couple of hours. And now, bleh, except for a happy memory of a dream about lucid dreaming – I could slip out of bed and float to the top of the room I was dreaming myself to be in.
I agree with the reviewers who say the second Flavia Albia novel, Enemies at Home, was better than the first, but the first was fine too. (Now she’s thoroughly likeable and a more reliable narrator.)
