New bookshelves!

Today’s big event was the arrival of J’s new bookcases – 6' tall and 4' wide, four of them. I swept outside in advance, to make sure the delivery guys didn’t track in the grass and fuchsia debris, then I showed them where to put them, then I admired them and sent photos to J. at work. In the evening, after we finally started draining his hot tub in advance of setting it up for use, we started putting away his books and then realized the shelves are pretty potent in terms of fumes, so we decided to air them out in the garage, and we opened the library windows to ventilate. The room is certainly pretty!

Other things about today: I switched the kitty litter from clay to corn, which should be much nicer once the kittens agree. I also worked some on the missing bits for our project website and asked our in-house copy staff to make some sample booklets for us, as maybe we could save thousands of dollars by doing it that way.
