Congratulations!

J. got a promotion at work! Tomorrow he’s going on a company hike – ten waterfalls in eight miles.

Overindulgence

J. successfully completed the 8-mile waterfall hike, and on the way back saw one of his favorite Transformer toys all life-size by the side of I-5! Meanwhile, I spent the day muddling along poking at several writing projects for work.

Then we went to dinner at the neighborhood Mexican restaurant. My meal of two spinach enchiladas, brown rice, and black beans has made me much, much too full – my stomach is still complaining about the quantity, two hours later. I’d like to go for a walk to burn off the calories, but that’s probably out of the question.
