Whirlwind of activity
Jun. 7th, 2014 10:11 pmNew antibiotic symptom: sleeplessness (or rather, not sleeping until 5 a.m., what fun), and ensuing spaciness all day. So I didn’t really want to drive D. downtown to play Magic, when he suddenly decided he wanted to go. J. heroically sprang into action, showering then driving over here for all of our errands. We dropped D. off at the game store, then we went to the UO library to renew a bag of books, then we went to the Madison Meadow for a homeless health center fundraiser I’d been invited to, then we headed to J’s apartment. I sat out on the balcony, eating my p.b. sandwich and a bunch of lime-flavored wheat thins, enjoying the breeze in the walnut tree and counting the cherries on the cherry tree (at least 18), while he did some tidying. Then we went to the Mexican restaurant for dinner (yes, immediately after my lunch), then I bought vitamins at Rite-Aid, then we came home, and then I went to visit my friend C. (we watched a pair of fawns wander through her yard and one blatantly ate a petunia flower), and then I bought milk at Safeway. Whew.
Now I’m just sitting here inert on the couch, while J. beside me watches some Magic streaming, and Sorin behind me noisily plays a pouncing game. Bye bye, whirlwind.
