Space otters!

Today D. started his mentorship interviews, meeting with Mary Lowd, author of Otters in Space and its sequel. After that, we attended a meeting of the Wordos fiction writers’ workshop, which Mary was chairing, and listened to writers critiquing each others’ works in progress. Surprisingly interesting, given that we hadn’t read the works they were discussing. Two of the authors there expressed interest in talking further with D, too.

Interesting bits from Mary Lowd: She tries to write 40 good words a day, which seems quite modest but eventually adds up, and she now makes about enough from writing to support... her cats.
