“Savoring my nervousness”

Today was a local Magic tournament to win a trip to Spain, and this morning, D. was almost too excited to eat his oatmeal. He announced, “I’m savoring my nervousness.” Where did I get such a well-adjusted kid? He finished 31st out of 120+ players (and was obviously the youngest of them); J. finished 12th. I went down to the Hilton and watched them both win in the fifth round. D’s deck had three(!) Nessian Asps, which is a really big snake that can go “monstrous” and can also defend against flying attackers.

Hm, tonight’s probably the finale of Sword Art Online, an anime show we’re enjoying, but thanks to the switch to Standard Time it’ll be an hour later than usual. I guess we’re waiting ’til tomorrow for it.
