Downton downer

Last night, I hopped over to the Wikipedia page for the “List of Downton Abbey episodes” to find out how many there would be, and ack, even though I was just glancing at the numbers, I did take in a major spoiler. After further thought, I’ve concluded that this spoiler is the sort of thing I’d rather know in advance, just as I was glad to know in advance that Willow’s girlfriend Tara was going to get murdered on that one Buffy episode, because it would have been too shocking in context. Also it turns out that this one’s been discussed in the New York Times and would probably have been very hard to avoid for the next two months. Nevertheless, it’s an unfortunate turn of events.

(I wish we could watch them all on the same day they do in Britain instead of waiting extra weeks.)
