Hanging out, aka frittering away the day

I got to have D. back early today, as R. wanted to go to a matinee performance of a play, and we played lots of Diablo II, with an intermission for spaghetti and a Nature episode about cross-species friendships. I especially liked the coyote and mountain lion who liked to chase each other around to share a big rag.

So wiped out and tired, though; sore throat too. Didn’t get the tree up, nor the leaves raked and into the street for pickup, nor any work done. Good thing none of the other moms showed up to walk at 7 p.m., as I was wilted enough from just getting to our meeting spot.
