More superhero history, sort of

Tonight we thought of watching X-Men: First Class but ended up going DC instead, for an animated straight-to-video movie called Justice League: The New Frontier. We thought it would be introducing the Young Justice characters, but instead it turned out that the public had gotten disenchanted with Superman, Wonder Woman, and especially Batman, so they ended up adding Flash, that Martian guy, and Hal Jordan, who acquired his Green Lantern powers as part of the process. David Boreanaz voiced the latter, and there were actually lots of well-known actors’ voices, so the fact that we’d never heard of this movie should have served as an indicator of its quality. (Not that it was that bad, just not great, and a bit darker than I care for.)
