In which I *gasp* take a day off!
Jun. 2nd, 2012 10:28 pmI had something in mind for today’s post but can’t remember what!
This afternoon I got quite caught up in the Facebook page for “You Know You’re from _____ When...” for my very small home town. I’ve now exchanged comments with a girl who babysat me when I was maybe 6 or 7, a boy whose big brother was in my class most years, and a girl whose little brother was my fifth grade crush (though I didn’t mention it – and by the way, it looks like she escaped her Jehovah’s Witnesses upbringing with a vengeance).
I’m kind of stuffed from going out for a french dip sandwich and too many fries.
J. and I went to a performance of medieval music (secular, not religious), in one of the most beautiful interiors on campus (though it’s a science building, not music). The performers made great use of the space, sometimes appearing up on balconies, and all around the audience. I already owned two CDs by the woman who coordinated the whole event, Anne Azéma, and now I want to listen to them more! (And also my David Munrow collection.)
