A farewell to trees

The neighbors across the street had two apparently healthy, tall douglas-firs taken down today. Our street now looks much more urban, at least when I look over at their house. Too bad.

I did finish a draft of the narrative section for my dissertation, about 2,700 words rearranged from other things I’ve written in the past. I also filled in more of the analyses. My new goal is to get G. a printout of my completed-ish results in a few days, so he can tell me if I’m reporting things in sufficient depth. Things will remain hectic around here for a while.
