“Abducted by aliens! Help!”

Today I took Lillian to the vet. She was in shock. How could we have ended up in that horrid little room, where she was mercilessly poked and prodded? She didn’t even snap at the vet or assistant, though, and only hissed once.

Anyway, the bottom line: She weighed in at a full 17 lbs, and her roly-polyness is keeping her from doing proper grooming, which is leading to some health issues. So now the poor thing is going to be on even more of a dietary restriction than before, plus some medicine. She doesn’t know about any of that yet, though. She’s curled up under the table, finally soundly asleep.
