One day at a time
Feb. 4th, 2011 10:14 pmThere! The NIH proposal is gone, and after Tuesday’s dissertation proposal defense, things should feel easier for a while. Until, of course, the next NIH deadline, in four months. I can stop writing proposals as soon as I have half-time funding, fortunately.

“I was in a quandary. Death lay all about me; it remained but for me to choose the place and manner of the assignation; I could drown where I was, or I could permit myself to be dashed to pieces on the rocks. Tomorrow: More resting, more reading. Maybe a walk in the woods or something, too.
