Mama update
Nov. 12th, 2010 09:48 pmAs it turns out, about a month ago my sister finally gave up her excessively draining project and moved my mom into a memory care facility near her house. My mom loves it there, with the communal lifestyle and near-constant meals, and is being very cheerful and pleasant to everyone. This is obviously much easier on my sister, and it’s saving about $2,000 a month. She’s planning to keep the house vacant, at least until our step-brother comes in the spring to take out all of his stuff. I’m excited, because this means I can use its storage space to greatly help with my garage cleaning project. (For example, I can store the four dead monitors there so I won't keep tripping over them, until I’ve also gotten out the several monochrome ones, so that they can all go off to Dead Monitorland together.)
Today in the garage, among a bunch of old science magazines, I found a story written by B. when he was 7: “Sir Global and the Zombie Dragon.”
