The other side
Aug. 27th, 2010 09:37 pmThor's devotion to his "daddy" came in very handy today. About six weeks ago, he had to go to the vet to get a foxtail removed from his paw, and the veterinary staff took him away from R. and into the back room. A great deal of barking and growling and biting ensued, and when poor Thor finally came back out to them, he was in a wild panic.
Today, we all took him to the vet for the same ailment, and this time he saw the more senior vet. She encouraged R. to stand close to Thor and hold his head and reassure him. She was able to extract four foxtails from the poor dog's paws without even so much as a whimper.
(Thor will not be romping freely in the nursery field again until after the foxtails are gone!)
