Bummer

I accidentally ran over a garter snake with the lawn mower today – it didn't occur to me to check for critters in the very tall grass I'd decided to bring down to lawn-level, and oops, there it was. Sad.

There was another in the back yard, which noticed me early enough and got away. It had a pretty red stripe.
