"Tri-wing" screws

I can't help but think that Nintendo was being deliberately obstructive when they decided to put "tri-wing" screws into the Wii and other systems. At least one can buy the screwdrivers without going through Nintendo, but you pretty much have to order them online. These screws are so obscure that even the Wikipedia list of screw types doesn't include them. They do look kind of elegant, though.

(D's Wii is so clogged with dust that it no longer wants to read discs, and now I have to wait several days to get the case open.)
