And summer begins (we hope)
Jun. 21st, 2010 10:56 pmI’ve been having annoying and tiresome computer experiences for the last hour, so let me reflect on the nice parts of the day.
(1) It was actually sunny! Temperatures still haven’t reached 80° this year, but we have hope.
(2) D. and I definitely had a good time at the pool - I taught him how to throw a (mini) football. We also had fun with our daily reading aloud (Sanderson’s second Alcatraz book), and introducing him to The Cosby Show.
(3) My proposal is nearly squished down to 6 pages, finally.
(4) Since it was sunny enough to read outside, I finally got to start The Gabriel Hounds, by Mary Stewart. Set in Lebanon, yay. I love her vivid “sense of place.”
