"Peace, man"
May. 2nd, 2010 10:15 pmD. and two of his buddies are going to be "hippies" in this year's school Fiesta Latina. His original desire for bell-bottom pants and a huge peace-sign belt buckle isn't being met, but today we took care of the shirt, at least. Here in Eugene, you can count on your mom to know how to tie-dye.
One of his formerly white t-shirts is now a golden yellow, with streaking that to D. looks very satisfyingly like flames. The other has a second layer of color, a vibrant orange. We saved the green dye for some future project.
Too bad we don't also have a fringe jacket or something.
