The duck, our year-round companion

After today's fourth grade basketball pre-season jamboree (eep, by the way, but at least the kids improved as the day went on), I walked over to the Chambers St. part of Amazon Creek to look for the great blue heron I saw there last summer. Do they migrate away? I saw only ducks.
