Today was a big milestone, at least for D - finally he has a proper bed. His crib (which he never slept in) converted to a "day bed," which he's been using for something like 7 years because the next conversion for that bed is into a double, and his bedroom is only big enough for a twin. So finally today was the day that I took apart the twin bed in our third bedroom and reassembled it in D's, and took apart the day bed for reassembly in the other bedroom, then R. went and bought new mattresses for all three beds and put together the double.

Our rooms were already ridiculously overfull of "stuff," and now, with bigger beds in two of them, it's absolutely laughable. At least now I'm better motivated to finally do something about it. D's bedroom doesn't really need a humongous beanbag taking up half the floor space, and the third bedroom would surely be nicer without our old breakfast table and rocking chair. And then we should actually get rid of some stuff - not a happy prospect for a packrat like me.

Edit: No time like the present - I decided to remove the old table and rotate that bed 90 degrees before it had mattresses on it, and now that room is much more spacious. D. claims to want to keep the giant blue beanbag, though. (My back is going to be a mess tomorrow!)
