fractal9091 had suggested: the log maintained by the router software. It gives a list of all the active networked devices in the house and the IPs they're sending signals to.
There was a huge list, a bunch for me and a bunch for R... and there, hidden among all the 101's and 103's was one lone 102. And it was sending signals to Japan.
I opened D's door, and he was playing DS in bed, in the dark. Yup.
