Suppose that for the sake of convenience, we call a person who is highly dynamic and has socially desirable traits (a good guy) a "hero," and a person who is highly dynamic and has socially undesirable traits (a bad guy) is a "villain." Then suppose a person who is more quiet and calm but has socially desirable traits is called a "saint"* - what would be a good general term for a person who is quiet and calm, yet unfriendly, dishonest, stupid, foolish, hateful, irresponsible, etc.?

* Yes, in practice, real saints could certainly be activists. You're welcome to suggest alternatives for "saint," too.

...said R, flippantly, but I suppose he's right, at least for the peaches we get around here. They go from hard, to disturbingly chewy, to wrinkly and bad, with no stage ever approximating ripeness. But they looked so pretty in the store!

Meanwhile, D. has completed the third grade, and I'll probably get a tuition waiver for fall term.
