Our department now has access to Qualtrics for surveys, which will mean we don't have to rely on professional coders and/or the incredibly primitive Sona software we now have (no branching!). I went to a training today. There were nifty features that I'd have used in earlier studies if I'd had access, like sliders and embedded graphic files. They even had a question type where respondents can click on whatever part of a picture most catches their eye, and you can see a cumulative image of it with "cold" and "warm" spots, which is probably useful for people designing and evaluating print ads. A funny thing about the training was that the guy wasn't very familiar with the commonplace web survey feature of giving the respondent some sort of score or results based on his/her answers. We definitely need to be able to do that.
