Elantris

Today I finally read Elantris - my own (unscented) copy. I loved it. It's an excellent thing that they've hired this author, Brandon Sanderson, to finish the Wheel of Time series, because he's a much better writer than Robert Jordan.

This was just my first reading, though. I don't like the feeling of being captive to dramatic tension, so I usually end up reading too quickly the first time, to get to the resolution. Then - sometimes immediately - I read the book again so I can appreciate the writing.
