A bit better

My brain is less mushy: I had two useful thoughts today. I also managed to buy some groceries and get D. from school, and I don't think my temperature is yo-yoing up and down any more. I'm still pretty out of it, though.

Smart cat!

Lillian (who is half-Siamese and has a half-Siamese voice) has a certain loud annoyed meow that she uses when she thinks her litterbox has been too long neglected. I had definitely done so for the past few days, being too feverish to do much more than feed myself and gaze at the television. Usually she makes the litterbox meow while prancing about impatiently in the neighborhood of the bathroom where it's kept. Today, though, she went and opened the cupboard under the kitchen sink, where I keep the white plastic bags I use for emptying the old litter, fussed about with the box of bags a bit, and then stood next to them, meowing for me to hurry up and come and use them!

(I was impressed and immediately went and did her bidding.)
