Whew! Earlier today it was seeming improbable that B. would be here tomorrow, given the state of the train and bus service in Portland, but he just called. A complicated plan involving a roommate's friend who owns a 4-wheel-drive truck should work, as long as the truck-owner's flight isn't cancelled.
