At the midpoint
Aug. 3rd, 2008 10:15 pmAs of today, my summer break is half over. Eight more weeks 'til fall term starts (not that it matters much, if I don't take a class, but I haven't yet decided). These should be more productive than the first eight, since D. will be back in school in a month, and since my vacation week is already done.
My summer reading... well, I've made considerable headway in the narrative and historiography stacks, but I shouldn't let myself get tempted yet by the other topics. As for my writing projects, I'm happy about the narrative draft, I think, but I haven't gotten to resume ideals nor metaphors of addiction yet, and I dare not turn my attention back to wonder 'til the narrative is much more settled. I had hoped to be able to think about it by now. I wonder if a great push on narrative would let me turn to other things in 2-3 weeks?
