They didn't ask me enough to find out that the average lifespan* of my grandparents and great-grandparents in non-smoking households was about 90.

* Except the two who died in accidents. My grandma's father choked on a chicken bone, and my grandpa's mother was hit by the Osawatomie Dairy Products truck.

Thanks to having an extraordinarily unusual maiden name, this week I got to connect with the wife of a first cousin once removed. Yay! (I've never met any of my grandpa's brother's family.)

And then, I finally reconnected with a friend who had disappeared mysteriously a few years ago. Bigger yay!
