Vacation 2008.7

fractal9091 went off to the airport at 7 p.m. But then he came back! More later.

Added, Tues. morning. So Monday turned out to be a low-key day, too - mostly revolving around the reinstallation of Vista on fractal9091's laptop, some two-player gaming by him and D., and his 7 p.m. departure. When he got to the airport, though, they needed volunteers for flying later (I suspect they had seriously overbooked the people going home after the Olympic Trials). This was great! I got extra, unexpected time with fractal9091, and he got a free round-trip plane ticket for use within the next 12 months!

So when he got back here, we watched extended Return of the King through the opening of the Black Gate, then I went to bed and he read Empire of the East for a couple of hours before showering and getting ready to go. I went outside with him for his 4 a.m. taxi pickup, and the stars looked so unfamiliar then.
