Finally, sunshine!
Jun. 8th, 2008 08:54 pmI understand it was very hot in much of the country today. Here it was finally sunny again and nice: 73° (12° warmer than yesterday). I sat outside and read - I used my umbrella as a parasol because there's no shade tree any more, but my shoulders still got sunburned.
Also, I repaired a lamp, curiously gratifying considering how simple it turned out to be.
I finished Mr. Harrison's Confessions (a Gaskell novella), skimmed a chapter on East Timor for G's project, and read more of Plumwood's Feminism and the Mastery of Nature. I quite like it. The chapter I just finished was on liberal and radical feminisms in terms of nature. ( Read more... )
